Shannon Global Energy Solutions promoted Joseph Lauria to vice president and COO, a newly created position. Lauria will oversee Shannon’s engineering, production, finance and research-and-development departments. He joined Shannon as director of sales and marketing in 2019.

Reading Bakery Systems (RBS), Robesia, Pa., a manufacturer of snack production systems, promoted Kyle Sensenig to project manager.

Victaulic Rick Bucher

Easton, Pa.-based Victaulic, a manufacturer of mechanical pipe-joining solutions, named Rick Bucher as CEO. He succeeds John F. Malloy, who will remain Victaulic’s chairman of the board. Previously, Dr. Bucher was named president of Victaulic in April 2020, following a June 2019 appointment as COO.

Asahi/America Inc., a manufacturer of thermoplastic fluid flow technology, added Shane McDaniel to its business development team. Working from a Houston-area office, McDaniel will serve as business development manager for actuation products for the St. Lawrence, Mass.-based company.

Doug Wright, CEO of Superior Boiler, Hutchinson, Kan., has been named chair of the American Boiler Manufacturers Association. Wright will serve a two-year term in the role. Superior Boiler manufactures industrial watertube, flextube, Scotch marine and vertical firetube boilers for process steam, hot water and waste heat recovery.

A maker of water quality monitoring products as well as gas detectors, Analytical Technology Inc., Collegeville, Pa., was acquired by Badger Meter Inc., Milwaukee, Wis., for $44 million.

Kenneth C. Bockhorst, chairman, president and CEO of Badger Meter, said the combination of solutions — electrochemical sensors from ATi with optical water quality monitoring instruments from s::can, which Badger Meter acquired in November 2020 — provides the company with a scalable water quality monitoring produc line that offers real-time data on demand to industrial users.

On a day-to-day basis, according to ATi, there will be no significant changes to its operations or its staff, and manufacturing remains Collegeville. Moving forward, ATi will be developing new products with the Badger Meter team and s::can GmbH.

Continental Fan, Vandalia, Ohio, is celebrating its 35th year in business. The industrial, commercial and OEM fan company has facilities in Mississauga, Ontario, and Buffalo, N.Y., in addition to its Ohio location.

Johnson Controls, Cork, Ireland, set new environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments, science-based targets as well as a net-zero carbon pledge to support a healthy, more sustainable planet over the next two decades. The company’s and customers’ emissions reduction will be accomplished by its OpenBlue technologies, which use big data and artificial intelligence to optimize building and process sustainability.

Toronto-based Armstrong Fluid Technology named Joao Paolo Violante as sales director for Latin America. Violante, who divides his time between Sao Paulo and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., joined the company in 2020.

AHED Software Arnold Kleijn

A cloud-based design software tool from Advanced Heat Exchanger Design (AHED) allows teams to collaborate on projects, improve project flow and speed up design, approval and manufacturing. After a two-week free trial, licenses are available for terms as short as three months, says Arnold Kleijn, AHED software general manager.

After previously outsourcing its services department, Bronswerk Heat Transfer, Nijkerk, The Netherlands, brought its service and maintenance department back in-house. The Dutch company, which manufactures customized heat exchange solutions such as air‐cooled coolers, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, heat transfer systems and industrial heat pumps, now offers services such as survey and analysis and process optimization.

Stockwell Tom Rimel President

Thomas S. Rimel Jr. joined Stockwell Elastomerics Inc. as president. Chairman Bill Stockwell noted that Rimel is the first executive outside of the Stockwell family to lead the high performance silicone rubber gaskets business since it was founded in 1919. Rimel was previously the president of Dunmore Corp., a provider of engineered films, foils, fabrics and adhesive products for technical applications.

Blackmer App

Specialty pumps and reciprocating compressor technologies manufacturer Blackmer launched an app that can be used to provide support and maintenance management of the company’s products.

Available on iOS- and Android-powered smart phones and tablets, the app has accessible dashboards that provide the user with instant access to a pump’s information. The app offers several tools, including one-click registration of pumps and compressors, a direct connection to Blackmer factory support, the ability to manage maintenance intervals and calendar reminders, and access to production documentation such as parts lists and performance curves. Blackmer is part of PSG, A Dover Co.

Midland, Mich.-based DuPont increased its Molykote specialty lubricants distribution network by expanding its existing partnership with Antala Ltd. (DGE Group). In addition to Spain and Portugal, which Antala has covered since 2011, the company will now carry Molykote in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
